Holidays - No Collection

Alaska Waste provides residential collection services on every holiday in Ketchikan except:

  • Nov 23, 2023 - Thanksgiving Day (Thursday) - Thursday will be picked up on Friday and Friday will be picked up on Friday on regular schedule.
  • Dec 25, 2023 - Christmas Day (Monday)
  • Jan 01, 2024 - New Year's Day (Monday)

For the Christmas and New Year Holidays, customers with Monday service will be picked up on Tuesday, Dec. 26, and Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024. All other days will have service as usual.

Ketchikan Office Closed

The office is open for all holidays except the one's listed below.

  • Nov 23, 2023 - Thanksgiving Day (Thursday)
  • Dec 25, 2023 - Christmas Day (Monday)
  • Jan 01, 2024 - New Year's Day (Monday)
